Simple Fitness Routine

I strive to move my body daily. My routine is straightforward that I do variable numbers of push-ups, squats and stretches, followed by a brief run or brisk walk. It’s 20 to 30 minutes, but it really energizes me for the day. Exercise clears my head. “When I am stressed, I ring the doorbell and head outdoors, breathe, and start at a slow pace,” Cheng says. I'm not chasing big numbers. I’m all about incremental improvements – one more set, one more minute, one more good habit.” And when I can tell apart the different odor; sleep earlier and drink more water. These are little decisions that cumulatively help my mood and study. Physical fitness isn’t just for looks — it’s for your health, discipline, and confidence. After my morning workout, I settle in to learn with a clearer mind.

Guitar and Singing

Music soothes me and helped me express my feelings. I’m not a professional, and I’m not saying I’m really good, but I enjoy playing guitar and singing a few simple songs. After the lesson I’m practising some easy chords and strums. I'm happy when a tune finally works. Singing also gives me more confidence. I am learning how to breathe and keep rhythm properly with the Right. Every now and then I do videos to listen to my evolution. I’m not into perfection. I just try to get a feeling for the music and tell a little story with my voice. Music draws people together too. Whenever friends happen to know one of my songs, we sing and laugh together. Those moments are radiant and true. Bit by bit, music is teaching me patience, practice, and joy.

Reading at Night

Reading in bed at night is my favorite pastime. I enjoy turning off my phone, fixing a simple drink and crack open a book. I read history, business and economics, but once in a while I pick a story just to relax. I get new ideas from books. They let me experience — I see different lives, I think in different ways. When I read books about markets, choices and countries, I know a little more about the world. I also write very small notes either in the gutter or on sticky notes. Later, I refer to them when I write or I teach. This custom keeps me calm. No matter how hectic the day, my mind is silenced after twenty minutes of reading. I sleep better after a good chapter. As I read, gradually, my thoughts, my aims are shaped.

Finding My Best Study Spots at UKM

In my first week, I was just walking around the campus looking for good places to study. The main library   quickly became my most visited place. It's bright, it's quiet, and the chairs are comfortable. I enjoy the smell of books and the gentle sound of a turning page. Occasionally I'll work on the tiny table by the window. I feel relaxed and I can concentrate when the sun shines in. For group work I go to a place where we can talk without disturbing the peace. I also carved out a warm, comfortable niche at a café on campus. I make a list of assignments in my notebook, and I go over slides. A cup of tea keeps me awake. Little by little, these places made me feel at home. When I know where to sit and think, it’s easier, and more enjoyable, to learn.

My Learning Goals at UKM

step by step I want to grow in UKM. Career DevelopmentMy goals are fairly simple: polish my English, get some real business skills, and learn what it takes to be a better teammate and speaker. This is my plan. I will read 1 worthwhile book per month, and take notes. I’m every week doing Excel and basic data know-how and I'm doing it more before our Q1 period is over. Probably I will ask0ne question or contribute 0ne idea in class. I want to join a student club to meet people and learn to work with themAn exchange student said: I will join one student club to meet people etc. But if there is case competition or project, I will go for it, even if I am shaking in my boots. Small actions create big change. Each Sunday I will review my week and repair what I didn’t do well. I know I will make mistakes, but I am just going to keep going! With this plan I am feeling ready and excited for the sem!

My Family, My Values

I come from a small and intimate family in Heze, Shandong. My parents aren’t strict, but they aren’t flaky either. They showed me how to work, how to be honest and how to treat people. I once flunked an exam in high school and was just miserable. My mom told me, “Failing is part of learning.” “Stand up and try again.” His dad taught him the same lesson on a daily basis—he wakes up early, he helps others, and he never complains. What they said and did shaped me." Even more, now that I study in Malaysia. A brief phone conversation with them has the power to soothe me after a stressful day. I want to make them proud, not in flowery, high-faluting language, but with real progress — stronger habits, better grades, and a better me. Those family values go with me everywhere."

The First Week I Was at UKM

At the start of the week, there was an opening ceremony.    I was both scared and excited at the same time.    There were people I didn't know, a language I didn't know, and a culture I didn't know.    For a moment, I didn't know what to do. I didn't sleep at all the night before because I was worried I would be late.    After the ceremony, there were a lot of fun games.    I joined a few and got tired and a little dizzy pretty quickly.    A teacher saw me and took me to a quiet room, where they gave me food and water.    I was very grateful because I felt safe and cared for.   I also met a lot of nice people to hang out with.    They smiled at me, talked to me, and even showed me around the school for a little while.    It made me feel better to talk about our first days.    It began to seem like a pleasant, warm place to be on campus. That week was the start of classes. ...

My Growth Journey – From Shy to Confident

Image
When I was younger, I used to get nervous about speaking. I was scared to be judged and maybe I was going to say something wrong. And because of that, I mostly stayed quiet even when I had something to say. I thought speaking to people was as close to impossible as you can get, and I always wanted more confidence like everyone else had around me.  When I started to think more, to read more, and to travel more things changed. Books gave me new ways of looking at life, and travel showed me how different people live and talk. I began to realize everyone makes mistakes during that time and that it’s okay to be imperfect. The more I saw of the world, the more I knew myself. Gradually, I found it easier and easier to talk about what I thought and how I felt.  Today, I’m not afraid to say how I feel or talk to people. I feel comfortable raising my hand in class, voicing my opinion in group discussions, and talking to strangers. I’ve discovered that being brave doesn’t mean you’re not...

Introduction – About Me

Image
Hey everyone! My name is Niu Zongheng, but you can call me Zongheng. I come from Heze, a city located in Shandong Province, PRC, and currently I’m pursuing Business Administration at National University of Malaysia(UKM). I’ve always been interested in how companies actually work — how they make decisions, manage people and create value — so I decided to go into business. I feel that these are skills that will serve me well in the future, whether I am assisting with my family’s business or venturing out on my own someday. I’m also really into economics. I enjoy reading books on the subject because they tell us a lot about how the world works -- prices, what people decide to do, even why some nations are wealthier than others. It’s fun to see where theory meets real life, and I like using what I learn to take a closer look at day-to-day life. As for me, I’m a little bit shy, little bit extroverted. I enjoy being alone and thinking about random ideas, but I also like meeting people and di...
